Welcome!

Overview
Traveller’s Caravan is a memory match game where players must match two of the same items to clear them off the board. Once all Items are cleared the game is won. Items are hidden behind crates, if two items don’t match, they’ll be covered again. It’s up to the player to remember where each one was.

We are not trying to make unique or original game. Our focus is that we will flesh out the game as much possible rather than adding more mechanics. Though depending how the project is going, we could possibly add more mechanics and themes if time allows.

Art Direction
The game will be stylised with low poly models and hand painted textures. It will utilise mostly 3D elements with some 2D elements for UI. Taking stylistic inspiration from mobiles games and World of Warcraft.

Gameplay
A mysterious caravan rolls into town, the merchant that runs it is said to have an interesting collection of wares. Can you match them all? In Traveller’s Caravan you’ll be tasked to match a rotating collection of items in order to clear the board, set a personal time and try to beat it!

Traveller’s Caravan Will be available exclusively to PC.

What Will We Get out of This?
This game is heavily art based to allow Ting and I to create some great assets for a great looking game. We’re focused on having a working game with some good portfolio pieces by the end of the project.

Where Are We and Where are We Going?
We are currently working on finalising the design elements and concepts as well as getting the main game mechanic working in a unity project. For the future of this project Ting and Myself will be creating models and textures; Ting will be making props and some hard surface models and I’ll be working on the character, environment and textures. We Will be working closely with Trent and Danny for any programming needs.

Currently we have a working project with the simple main function of revealing items, we will be working on making the game play feel just right as well as adding the function of matching items. Right now nothing happens if they match.

As assets become ready they will be added to the project slowly replacing the blockout scene. We currently have half of the game pieces ready to be integrated and over the next couple of weeks we should have the full item set in the game.

For our final product, we want it to be smooth and bug free in terms of gameplay. We want to have clean art, all in the same style that would immerse the player. And finally, we want you The Player to enjoy it as much as we will enjoy making it.
