Further Update


Overview

We are steadily progressing towards our goal. After completing all the models and most of the programming we only have the decorative part to do. Though we have been encountering some issues, as some parts like audio where we are not well versed, which makes it longer to complete. Other issues are bugs, as most programming is done we can start finding bugs for our programmer to fix.

Details

Design -

We worked on the terrain and background assets. We worked out a layout and found assets in the workshop to fill in the background.

Audio - 

We have acquired some music from Kevin Macleod’s royalty free library and we went through loads of sound effects on Zapsplat’s library. We also went on Youtube to look through sound effects and manage to acquire some from there.

Art - 

As the models and UV are done, the next step would be texturing. Texturing has been going slowly due some problems. We have been making the textures ourselves and it has been taking a little longer than expected to ensure they all work together and look the same.

Animation - 

We changed some animations like the item rotation and crate opening animation.

Programming - 

We added some difficulty settings which currently changes the amount of time you have to complete the game.

We also fixed a lot of bugs, some major ones and some minor ones.

Audio wise, the audio has been mapped to some buttons in the menu but not all.


Currently - 

As we learn new things, the progress has been slow. Textured models are coming up very nicely. We are doing a lot researching for parts that we could use in our game, like audio, UI and background assets.

Future - 

When everything we are working now is put together, we hope everything goes well together. We are looking forward to it, I hope you are looking forward to it too.
